Holy Child Girls' High School (recognised by the Board of Secondary Education - West Bengal) is a Private Christian Minority Institution for Girls, established and administered by the Society of The Sisters of Charity. The school does not receive any benefits from the government either in cash or kind under any category and the guardians cannot demand for the same.
Holy Child School as signified by its name is dedicated to Mary, the Mother of Jesus Christ and is placed under her protection. The Sisters of Charity of Saints Bartolomea Capitanio and Vincenza Gerosa dedicate themselves to the service of youth, the sick and the needy, engaging themselves to be a sign of God’s love among people in conformity with the charism of the Institution. The institution from the beginning has developed a profound consciousness that education of the youth is a vital component of the charism of its foundress, who held the youth ‘Very dear to her heart’ and committed herself whole heartedly to their personal growth and development so that they would become agents of change for a just society

Primary Bengali Medium :
Red and white checked frock (cl- I & II) with red belt.
Red and white checked skirt, white shirt (cl- III & IV).
Black Tights, white ribbon, no tie and belt.
Plain white (knee length) Stockings, black shoes and School Badge.
In Winter : Reddish maroon sweater with ‘V’ neck for (cl- I to IV) and red maroon cap, white leggings.
Primary English Medium :
Red frock and red ribbon (cl- I to IV)
In Winter : Red sweater with ‘V’ neck, red cap and red leggings.
High School :
Red and white checked skirt (knee length), white shirt, white ribbon, plain white (knee length) Stockings, white chemise, black tights, black shoes and School Badge, no tie.
In Winter : Reddish maroon sweater with ‘V’ neck and white leggings. For P.T. – White Keds for all..
Higher Secondary :
Grey skirt (knee length), white blouse with grey stripes, grey tie, black shoes with white socks.
In Winter : black sweater.
The school includes classes from I to XII.
The syllabus for Secondary Education (Madhyamik Examination) is followed in classes VI to X.
WBCHSE syllabus semester system is followed in classes XI to XII both in Science and Arts stream.
Subjects are Bengali, English, Mathematics, Computer Application, Physics, Chemistry, Biological Science, History, Economics, Political Science, and Geography.
Bengali is the medium of instruction and English is the second language in Bengali medium.
Considering the demand for English as the means of teaching-learning curriculum, English medium for K.G classes was started since 2020 and it is being successfully continued till date along with the existing Bengali medium.
Students of class XI-XII can opt for study in English.
Class I - V: 10:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.
Class VI - XII: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
