The Sisters of Charity have been in India since 1860 and are now spread all over the country running Schools, Colleges, Hospitals, Orphanages, and other Charitable Institutions. Located centrally almost at the heart of the City of Joy, Kolkata, Holy Child School is making constant and careful endeavors to make our students aware of their dignity as children of God. Our dedicated teachers are the pillars of support for the students helping them to develop their intellectual, physical and aesthetic faculties as we are the firm believers of the saying, “Education is the manifestation of the perfection already in man.” We are specially trying to inculcate in them the love and appreciation for their culture and traditions through different kind of celebrations of festivals and cultural events. It is our constant effort to train them to make correct use of their judgement, will and affectivity. We feel it’s our own duty to inculcate in our students the sense of values and foster in them social awareness. And with all these we are preparing our students for future career and thus they gain a well-balanced personality that is good for the society and for the promotion of a better world where love, fellow feeling and service to mankind prevail and thus they become spiritually oriented, intellectually alert, morally upright, emotionally balanced, sensitive to the needs of others and achievement oriented and above all to be patriotic.
